And I’m hoping it holds up a lot better than the Medela Freestyle Flex.
I think it would be an inconvenience though if I was pumping AND watching my baby at the same time. I also had Medela PISA with my first one, so I have some experience pumping with medela PISA and Spectra S1. My right nipple was getting sucked in so much it’d stop the suction so I had to lower the suction down but still got good output.īeing tied to a wall was no big deal since I’m at home and found a good set up. With Synergy Gold you can control the settings for each side separately, so for the slacker boob you can pump at higher/lower suction and or vaccum and right side could be separate setting as well. I’m excited for flanges that actually fit. I’m just waiting on new flange sizes because 24mm is too big for me. I like the double motor option since I have a serious slacker boob and I like that you can change the speed in both modes. This was after the last few weeks I’ve only been getting 8-10 oz. The most I’ve pumped during a workday (8 hours with 3 pump sessions) is 12 oz and I got 16 yesterday in less time (still 3 sessions, just 20 min instead of the 30 I’ve been doing). Granted this has just been one day of pumping but WOW! So much better. I searched here for some reviews but just saw folks asking for some so figured I’d post my experience so far. And went first thing Thursday to get the Spectra Synergy Gold. I manually pumped all day Wednesday (ugh). Well, Wednesday morning when I went to pump, it wouldn’t turn on.

I’ve been back at work full time (still working from home) for 6 weeks and I just don’t think the Medela Free Style was up for my 3 pumps a day schedule. That worked fine when I was on maternity leave and mostly breastfeeding and doing a little pumping here and there. I got the Medela Free Style Flex thinking portability was the most important thing to me. I was a fool when I bought my first pump.
